Cleanse the hair with Quantum Clarifying Shampoo and towel dry. (Figure a) |

Apply Quantum Porosity Equalizer Step 1. The porous areas of hair should absorb more than the less porous areas. (Figure b) |

Section the hair into T partings. Starting at the nape make 3/4” partings across the section, apply Quantum straightener Step 2, 1/2” from the scalp with a tint brush. (Figure c) |

Process at room temperature for 5 minutes then check hair using the coil method to see if processing is complete. Coil a strand of hair on your index finger. If the coil opens, the hair needs additional processing. Repeat this test every 5 minutes until processing is complete on different positions along the hair strand (top, middle, ends). Processing time using the color treated formula is 5-15 minutes maximum. (Figure d) |

If coil test indicates the hair is sufficiently processed at the more porous area of the hair strands (usually the ends) but not at the more resistant crown area, place the ends in a towel and spray this processed portion with water to slow and stop the chemical action. |

After processing is complete, rinse hair for 5-7 minutes with warm water, keeping the hair as straight as possible. |

Finger dry the hair with a blow dryer, leaving 10-20% moisture in the hair. |

Comb and section hair into “T” partings. Starting at the nape of the neck take 1/8” sections. |

Starting near the root area, flat iron 1/3 of the hair shaft (the top section). Press, slide and repeat 2 times for a total of two seconds. Use this technique to flat iron the mid shaft location, then the ends. Go to the next section and repeat. Continue procedure to the top of head. (Figure e) |

Once the thermal processing is complete, gently comb hair as smooth and straight as possible with a wide tooth comb. Section hair gently with hair clips and evenly saturate hair from roots to ends with Quantum Neutralizer Step 3. Comb neutralizer throughout hair to evenly distribute and process for 5 minutes. Rinse out and apply Quantum Leave in Treatment Step 4 at the bowl. |

Blow dry hair. Do not shampoo hair for 48 hours. No touch up with ceramic flat iron is necessary. |
