On October 4th, Zotos International kicked off a fun-filled week of fundraising for City of Hope. City of Hope is a leading cancer research institute where more than 300 physicians and scientists work to find the causes of and cures for cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Zotos began its fundraising event with its 8th Annual Cut & Color-a-thon. The one-day event held in the Artistic Institute Salon in Darien, CT was open to the public and attracted local & renowned hair stylists, who volunteered their time and expertise to provide superior cut & color services at a discounted price. Stylists from prestigious salons such as Hopscotch of Greenwich, John Thomas Salon of Darien, Vlas Salon of Darien and several Joico/ISO stylists were on board this year to help raise approximately $3,000.

As a supplement to its traditional fundraising events, Zotos hosted its first annual Game Night. The retro-themed event was open to all Zotos employees & featured modern-day spins on classic network game shows such as Match Game, Let’s Make a Deal & Are You Smarter Than a 5th grader? The rip-roarious event raised over $500 for the general donation.

The annual employee raffle was the most successful fundraising event of the month. Dozens of corporate vendors and community businesses contributed cash and prizes that were turned into luxurious prize packages for the company-wide raffle. Employees purchased over $6,000 worth of raffle tickets in hopes of winning highly coveted prizes such as round-trip airline tickets, an Apple iPad, weekend getaways, a 42” HDTV, laptop computer and more.

Thanks to enthusiastic participation at each of its four corporate locations, Zotos raised a record-breaking $10,500 for City of Hope.

As a veteran supporter of charitable causes, Zotos has worked with many local and national foundations over the years. With the Holiday season approaching, Zotos is looking forward to their annual toy drive in support of St. Luke’s LifeWorks, a foundation that helps improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by homelessness, HIV/AIDS, and mental illness.
