Zotos® International, Inc., is a professional beauty industry leader that manufactures and markets a full range of hair care, texture service and hair color options for today's salons and salon professionals.
Zotos is wholly owned by the Shiseido International Corporation, a subsidiary of Shiseido Co., Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan, an international giant and manufacturer of fine fragrances, skincare and cosmetics that purchased the company from the Conair Corporation in 1988. By acquiring Zotos, Shiseido entered the U.S. professional beauty salon market, thus adding more depth to Zotos extensive research and development arena. |

Zotos then acquired the professional salon division of Helene Curtis, Inc., which included ISO, in 1996. This acquisition gave the Zotos domestic and international distribution network a significant market share of professional product lines.
On New Years Eve 2001, Shiseido Co., Ltd., acquired Joico Laboratories, Inc., through Zotos International, Inc. This further enhanced Shiseido's professional business in the U.S. and this acquisition enables both companies to enhance their international competitiveness in a changing market.
